Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley met up for that final press conference ahead of Saturday night’s Pacquiao vs Bradley HBO pay-per-view main event from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Manny Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KO) will be defending his WBO welterweight title against Timothy Bradley (28-0, 12 KO), who is looking to become a two-weight world titleholder, after multiple reigns at 140 pounds, and having never lost any of his belts in the ring.
Diaz stated that Bradle was “100% prepared to win,” and predicted his fighter would pull “the upset from the decade. Tim Bradley declared that he he’s ready as ever because “he went through hell in training camp.”
Roach said, “It’s gonna be great fighting an undefeated, resilient guy.” He also noted that this time around, Manny may still have distractions, but, “We got rid of a lot of distractions. We got some new distractions that are much better,” referring to Pacquiao’s Bible study — called a “spiritual awakening“.
Bradley (28-, 12 KO) stated, “Training camping was hell. I have never trained this difficult. I am prepared to shock the planet. I’ll do whatever needs doing to win this fight.” Then he shook Pacquiao’s hands, and thanked him for that chance. “Let us have it on, baby. It’s destined to be a war.”
If Bradley training was a hell, Pacquiao not to be outdone declared that he too is ready because his training camp was “heaven”. “We did our best in training because Timothy Bradley is a hungry fighter. He’s young. I know what he’s feeling, [so] I trained like I was 26 years old.”
Paco Varcarcel, the WBO President had a surprise for Pacquiao. He presented him with a diamond ring with the WBO logo which Pacquiao proudly displayed to the photographers.
